About the Role

As an Electrician with CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS), you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' facilities. Your expertise in electrical systems and equipment will be essential in providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the general operation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and lighting systems.
  • Perform new installations of equipment and ensure that all work is done in accordance with industry standards and safety protocols.
  • Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems, including valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
  • Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Provide efficient and reliable service to customers, applying general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values, promoting a culture of respect, integrity, service, and excellence.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes.
  • Valid Driver's license required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs or more.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • Advanced math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as the ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.
  • Must have a Virginia (or another reciprocal state) issued Master or Journeyman HVAC license.
