Surgical Technologist

As a Surgical Technologist at EvergreenHealth, you will play a vital role in the patient care team, focusing on procedural care needs. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will make you an asset to our team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare rooms with the necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment for each surgical procedure, adhering to policy and procedure guidelines.
- Demonstrate aseptic technique at all times, ensuring a safe and sterile environment for patients.
- Participate in patient safety activities, including the presurgical pause, to ensure the highest level of care.
- Perform counts as defined in OR policies and procedures, documenting results on the OR record.
- Maintain an orderly and sterile instrument table and/or Mayo stand, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Pass necessary instruments to the surgeon and surgical assistant(s) in a timely manner.
- Remain alert and composed in unexpected situations, handling them with calm efficiency.
- Prepare and handle medications on the sterile field under the direct observation of a registered nurse.
- Handle records, labels, and specimens according to established policy and procedure.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Registered as a Surgical Technologist within the State of Washington.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.
- Previous Surgical Tech experience.
