Job SummaryAs a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include preparing and maintaining a sterile field, selecting and preparing necessary supplies and equipment, and adhering to Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington preoperative nursing care standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perioperative planning and preparation: You will collect data and prepare for surgery in accordance with surgeons' directions or preferences.
- Environmental safety and infection control: You will wear required attire correctly, select and prepare necessary supplies and equipment, and check all equipment for working order.
- Proficient performance of assigned functions: You will identify breaks in sterile technique and correct and/or report them to proper healthcare team members.
- Teamwork: You will demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, working collaboratively with other healthcare team members to achieve mutual goals.
- Professional Development: You will take responsibility for ongoing education and professional development, identifying formal and informal opportunities to achieve your goals.
- Graduate of an approved school of Surgical Technology or equivalent hospital or Armed Forces training.
- Surgical Technologist Registration (Washington)
- Basic Life Support required at hire
