Job Summary

Navion Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled Memory Care Coordinator to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of 12 apartments, ensuring the health and well-being of residents in a safe and home-like environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct resident services and medication management as needed.
  • Supervise and schedule resident care staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Coordinate and monitor daily assignments to ensure timely completion.
  • Develop and implement programming tailored to the specific needs and abilities of residents in Memory Care.
  • Ensure personalized Memory Boxes are in place for each resident.
  • Collaborate with the Activities Coordinator to provide supervision and support for activities and outings.
  • Update resident service plans to reflect changing needs and abilities.
  • Manage and respond to resident behaviors in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding resident health status.
  • Maintain accurate and complete resident documentation.
  • Schedule medical tests and appointments, and arrange transportation as needed.
  • Demonstrate expertise in medication administration and stay up-to-date with state regulations and community policies.
  • Assist with staff orientation and education, and evaluate and discipline staff as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of fire safety procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Conduct and coordinate departmental meetings and training sessions.
  • Address resident and family complaints related to non-clinical issues.
  • Exhibit a courteous, polite, and friendly attitude towards residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Experience or training in a similar setting is preferred.
  • MedTech certification is required.
  • General understanding of and concern for the needs of seniors is essential.
  • Aptitude and previous experience working with Alzheimer's and memory-impaired residents is necessary.
  • Ability to work in an environment that prioritizes resident safety and well-being.
  • Capacity to manage team processes and promote a team environment.
