PumpTex, Inc is on the lookout for a Skilled Retail Fuel Service Technician dedicated to delivering outstanding customer support, performing repairs, and maintaining the fueling stations we cater to in the Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana regions. Our Fuel Service Technicians receive a competitive salary commensurate with experience and are eligible for our quarterly performance bonus program. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Engage respectfully with clients and colleagues both in person and via phone
  • Address a variety of service requests, including emergency situations and after-hours calls when on duty
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (one week of on-call duty every five weeks)
  • Service and maintain dispensers, turbines, underground storage tank (UST) equipment, UST monitoring systems, and dispenser calibration
  • Manage inventory on the service vehicle to ensure availability of necessary tools and equipment
  • Assist in setting realistic client expectations through informed decisions and technical expertise
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their needs are met
  • Stay informed about new equipment launches and industry regulations, and engage in ongoing training
  • Act with urgency to ensure client operations are restored quickly and minimize downtime
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Residence in the Southeast Texas or Southwest Louisiana area is required
  • Experience with two or more retail petroleum product lines (such as Wayne, Verifone, Gilbarco, Passport); current or previous certification is preferred
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory
WORK SCHEDULE:

Our Technicians typically work Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with opportunities for overtime and participation in the on-call rotation.
