Job Title: Science Teacher

Job Summary:

The Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering advanced academic content and quality instruction to students who have made a commitment to a challenging STEM program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for STEM education and a genuine appreciation for the mission of the Academies of Loudoun.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that integrate STEM concepts and promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration.
  • Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of student performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement instructional strategies and activities that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Stay current with developments in science education and incorporate best practices into instructional strategies.
Requirements:
  • Virginia licensure with Chemistry endorsement.
  • Multiple endorsements are preferred but not required.
  • Research or industry experience is also preferred but not required.
