Environmental Health Specialist

Under general direction, the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Senior Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing environmental health and safety programs and providing professional consultation and technical expertise associated with environmental, health, and occupational safety matters.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement programs to reduce the frequency and severity of environmental health and occupational safety hazards.
- Provide guidance and direction to the College community on best practices to mitigate risk and monitor trends to provide strategic direction.
- Conduct in-depth risk assessments to identify hazards and reduce them through collaboration, training, and education.
- Develop and manage departmental budget and monitor vendor performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management, or related field, plus four years of related work experience.
- Industry certifications in Associate Safety Professional, Graduate Safety Practitioner, Certified Safety Professional, Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician, or related certification.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a valid State of Texas driver's license within 90 days of employment.
- Official transcripts required.
- Bilingual or multilingual preferred.
