Qualifications:


Your compassionate nature and a high school diploma (a degree in fields such as Recreation Therapy, Social Work, or Psychology is a plus).

You have experience interacting with individuals with memory impairments, perhaps through personal connections or as a professional in senior care.

Excellent communication skills are essential for connecting with residents, families, and team members.
Flexibility is key; you will adapt to a schedule that may include weekends and holidays to provide exceptional care every day.
A touch of creativity and a measure of patience will enable you to design activities that cater to everyone, regardless of their memory journey.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Work Environment:
The Activities Coordinator will primarily operate within the memory care unit of the facility. This role encompasses a blend of planned activities, administrative duties, and interaction with residents, families, and staff.

Physical Requirements:


The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of the role.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

While fulfilling the responsibilities of this position, the team member regularly stands, bends, talks, hears, walks, sits, climbs stairs, stoops, uses hands and fingers to touch, handle, and feel, reaches with hands and arms, lifts and/or moves items weighing up to 50 pounds.

The team member occasionally lifts and transfers residents, using proper body mechanics, and physically assists residents in transitioning to wheelchairs, beds, stretchers, stationary chairs, and vehicles as necessary.

Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The team member must be able to detect odors to ensure resident safety and quality care.
