They are looking to expand their team with a motivated individual to assist in managing various commercial projects including Corporate, Retail, Mixed Use, and Educational developments.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Project Coordinator will be tasked with:

  • Developing a project timeline during the initial setup and subcontractor bidding phases that aligns with the overall project strategy.
  • Identifying and securing all essential materials, ensuring timely delivery in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Collaborating with Project Managers to address any supply chain challenges or delays, keeping all stakeholders informed about project developments.
  • Maintaining up-to-date financial documentation to swiftly identify potential challenges.
  • Fostering and sustaining positive relationships with clients and subcontractors through effective communication regarding roles, modifications, and issues, while promptly addressing requests.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and distributing detailed documentation such as construction correspondence, contracts, submittal logs, RFI logs, and meeting minutes. Responsible for managing project-related documentation including expenses, contracts, lien waivers, and insurance certificates.

Candidate Profile

The ideal Assistant Project Coordinator will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • A background in commercial projects (Corporate, Retail, Academic, Healthcare, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to cultivate and maintain professional relationships.
