Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a highly skilled Construction Representative to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of construction-related services on a specific project.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the construction schedule and ensure timely completion of the construction phase.
- Manage documents and field office tasks, including field reports, photos, drawings, minutes, and schedules.
- Provide notice of contract noncompliance to the project team.
- Participate in bidding, pre-con, and construction processes.
- Schedule and coordinate FF&E, IT, and Move management.
- Manage field coordination of testing agencies, special services, Cx agents, etc.
- Oversight of RFI and submittal processes.
- Maintain contingency logs and review certified payrolls.
- Provide review and coordinate design team or other consultants' reviews of contractors' applications for payments.
- Provide daily updates of potential financial concerns; review proposed change orders.
- Track and monitor all work performed on a time-and-material basis.
- Handle on-site logistical and coordination discussions with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Attend project meetings and schedule/coordinate owner-consultant meetings.
- Participate in and assist with Professional Development Training.
- Participate in interviews upon request and seek opportunities with existing clients.
- Perform other miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree, preferred.
- 5+ years of construction expertise, preferably in K-12 education.
- OSHA-10 certification required.
- Solid understanding of building construction, field construction, including codes and safety requirements.
- Solid understanding of sequencing and scheduling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work well with coworkers, clients, and contractors.
- Requires strong technical experience, such as envelope, MEP, and/or FF&E.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Internet research.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
