Job Summary:
The Night Production Manager at Milk Specialties Global is responsible for directing the facility to support overall business objectives, including managing all aspects of daily production, inventory accuracy, sanitation, and safety programs. This role oversees the coordination of manufacturing functional areas to ensure continuity towards plant goals, develops key manufacturing plans, and maintains production capacity synchronized with sales volume requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement manufacturing plans and programs to meet budgeted unit cost and output objectives.
- Coordinate activities of all manufacturing functional areas to ensure continuity towards plant goals.
- Sustain production capacity synchronized with sales volume requirements.
- Develop and track annual operating budget for measurement towards objectives.
- Maintain and improve the quality of plant assets, both current and fixed.
- Develop and improve technical and manufacturing management skills at the plant.
- Establish performance standards for all supervisors and maintain current job descriptions and improvement plans.
- Work with Purchasing to establish quality specifications for incoming raw materials and monitor these materials to ensure specifications are met.
- Develop new products and processes, and improve current products and processes, in collaboration with Quality and R&D.
- Manage inventory of off-spec materials, including scheduling and reworking of products as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining formulation data system, including entering all new product formulations.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of previous management experience in a food-grade operation.
- Background in dairy, evaporators, and/or drying technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent knowledge of plant operation procedures and business system software applications.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
