Production Manager

Waterside District is seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to join our team. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our live events, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a budget and schedule for configuring, installing, troubleshooting, and providing end-user support for all control systems, including sound and lighting, televisions, peripherals, and more.
  • Develop and maintain daily programming schedules for onsite displays.
  • Ensure accurate accounting procedures for artist payments.
  • Provide technical coverage for daily operations.
  • Create monthly schedules for technical staff.
  • Collaborate with team members to determine event-specific needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and regional entertainment agencies.
  • Coordinate pre-game activations and events.
  • Advance national acts and coordinate with internal teams.
  • Fulfill rider requirements while negotiating costs.
  • Hire production staff for events.
  • Oversee production and concert operations, managing entertainment and production within budget.
  • Budget for materials and troubleshoot state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and display systems.
  • Create and maintain entertainment equipment budgets for inventory, replacements, and requests.
  • Verify equipment is fully operational, replacing or repairing as needed, and maintain maintenance and repair logs.
  • Assist with back-of-house entertainment systems, including conference rooms and venues.
  • Coordinate LED maintenance arrangements.
  • Adhere to department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in AV.
  • Ability to assume responsibility for independent/self-directed action.
  • Strong guest service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects, or assignments.
  • Ability to interpret and explain company policies and procedures to others.
  • Ability to follow all policies, procedures, and regulations, including attendance, appearance, safety, and security policies.
  • Ability to identify circumstances or incidents requiring notification and approval of others.
  • Technical/Production Skills: Strong background in audio, live audio mixing, bands, mixing for television broadcasts, events, etc.
  • Strong background in video: Video switching (TD), camera experience, media players, maintaining media.
  • Lighting skills: Familiar with lighting systems such as Light Jockey, Grand MA, Hog, Chauvet, etc.
  • Fluent with common software and operating systems.
  • Knowledge of TV networks and operations of TV networks.
  • Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires a flexible and irregular work schedule.
Physical Demands:
  • Carrying, lifting, pushing, and/or pulling items weighing up to pounds.
  • Frequently standing up and moving about the facility.
  • Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility.
  • Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and crawling.
  • Ability to work in an environment with exposure to bright lights and loud noises.
