Job Description

MindWorks Collaborative is seeking passionate and energetic educators to join our school partners committed to high levels of achievement for all students. Our program partners offer a full continuum of life-skills, SEL, and communication-based offerings and support students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. The ideal educators consistently demonstrate leadership and instructional skills in the area of program development for students with low-incidence disabilities.

Responsibilities

The Life Skills Educator needs to plan and provide direct and indirect instruction to students with intensive needs in the classroom and out in the community. This position requires team teaching with other special educators, paraeducators, related service providers, and adaptive general education teachers. The ideal candidate will be skillful in facilitating collaborative teams and program development, training, analyzing and responding to student data, and mentoring other team members. Knowledge of clinical responses to behavior, universal design for learning, curriculum overlap, and multi-level instruction is essential. The position will include teaching functional skills, literacy, math, and social communication.

Requirements

Minimum of Bachelor's Degree

Experience managing adults or educational programs

3 or more years of experience working within Special Education field

Current Teaching Certification or ability to be certified within 1 year

Bonus: Educators with prior experience w/ low-incidence disabilities

Bonus: Educators with BCBA or similar background/certifications
