POSITION OVERVIEW

Skyline Lodge is in search of a dynamic, approachable, and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Housekeeping Team Leader. This position will collaborate closely with the General Manager and Director of Rooms, ensuring that Guest Rooms and Common Areas meet our high standards. The Housekeeping Team Leader will oversee daily operations, conduct quality inspections, and ensure guest satisfaction regarding room cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in a hotel or similar setting.
  • Assist with cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Inspire and monitor team members daily to guarantee timely completion of room assignments.
  • Engage with guests to address service challenges with empathy and professionalism.
  • Conduct daily inspections of work performed to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Support the Housekeeping Manager in managing staffing levels, inventory, and payroll.
  • Help identify and nurture high-potential team members for leadership development within the organization.
  • Exhibit proactivity, initiative, and creative problem-solving skills while maintaining attention to detail and exceeding guest expectations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is preferred.
Additional Responsibilities:

Alongside the essential functions, this role may require performing various supportive tasks, including:
  • Maintaining safety for staff and guests.
  • Participating in team meetings and activities.
  • Assigning daily room tasks, assisting with payroll, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Cross-training with the Front Office to assist with necessary functions.
  • Flexibility in working hours, typically ranging from thirty to forty hours over a five-day period, with potential weekend shifts and overnight coverage.
  • Completing other duties as assigned.
  • Exhibiting strong communication skills to lead team members and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Demonstrating the ability to remain composed in various situations, applying sound judgment and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Reading and interpreting safety protocols and procedural documents.
Required Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with managers, guests, and team members.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and project management abilities.
  • Experience in Inventory Control, Training, Scheduling, and Payroll.
  • Attention to detail for thorough visual inspections of the hotel.
  • Physical capability to navigate the hotel premises, including stairs.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is highly desirable.
