The Lodge is currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our Housekeeping Team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest accommodations and communal spaces in accordance with our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness in hallways and public areas, and assist as a room attendant when necessary.
  • Prepare guest rooms for cleaning, including stripping beds, removing trash, and preparing glassware.
  • Complete daily assigned tasks to meet the cleanliness standards of the Lodge.
  • Perform various cleaning duties, including public restrooms, stocking supplies, and ensuring overall cleanliness.
  • Conduct visual inspections of public areas to uphold cleanliness and aesthetic appeal.
  • Keep housekeeping carts organized and stocked throughout the day.
  • Ensure proper disposal of all waste materials.
  • Manage deliveries by stocking and organizing supplies in designated areas.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests for items and services.
  • Maintain cleanliness of guest room glassware by replacing dirty items with clean ones.
  • Prepare housekeeping areas and carts for the next shift.
  • Address guest requests efficiently and adhere to safety protocols when handling chemicals and hazardous materials.
  • Report any suspicious activities or unsafe conditions to management.
  • Follow established procedures for Lost and Found items.
  • Exhibit high standards of guest relations during interactions.
  • Assist with cleaning tasks and support colleagues as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Promote safety for guests and staff alike.
  • Participate in team meetings and activities.
  • Complete all assigned duties for the day and assist others when tasks are finished.
  • Be willing to cross-train with the Front Office team as necessary.
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends and potential overnight shifts, based on hotel needs.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous cleaning experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to assist in various housekeeping roles.
  • Capability to remain composed in diverse situations and effectively resolve issues.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Understanding of cleanliness standards.
  • Physical ability to navigate the hotel premises, including stairs.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.

Education:

A high school diploma or GED is required. Additional education or training is a plus.

Experience:

At least one year of experience in a similar role or equivalent is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work approximately 35 hours per week.
  • Capability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, or crawling may be required.
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 40 lbs as needed.
  • Occasional climbing of stairs, ladders, or ramps.
  • Effective communication skills for detailed information exchange.
