ROLE OVERVIEW

As the HR Recruitment Specialist, you will be integral to our organization's talent acquisition initiatives while delivering essential administrative support to the HR division.

Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing recruitment processes and ensuring a smooth candidate journey, alongside assisting with HR functions such as benefits management, HRIS oversight, and employee support.

You will collaborate closely with hiring managers, recruiters, and HR personnel to facilitate the entire recruitment process and help maintain an organized, efficient, and compliant HR operation.

Plymouth Housing is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing and managing permanent supportive housing for single adults who have faced chronic homelessness.

With various apartment buildings across the region, Plymouth is committed to helping the most vulnerable members of our community transition out of homelessness permanently.

At Plymouth, we go beyond merely providing shelter; we offer supportive services like case management and healthcare to ensure our residents can thrive in the long term.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate and oversee recruitment activities, including job advertisements, candidate sourcing, resume evaluations, and interview scheduling.
  • Communicate effectively with candidates, providing timely updates on their application status and facilitating interview arrangements.
  • Conduct employment references, background checks, and additional assessments as required.
  • Implement candidate feedback surveys to enhance the recruitment process and improve the overall candidate experience.
  • Utilize data analytics to evaluate recruitment metrics, identify trends, and refine recruitment strategies.
  • Manage data within the applicant tracking system (ATS), including updating candidate records, generating reports, and analyzing recruitment data.
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires by preparing offer letters, employment contracts, and other relevant documentation.
  • Assist in organizing recruitment events, job fairs, and community networking activities to promote job opportunities at Plymouth.
  • Engage in recruitment processes with a strong understanding of equity and cultural competency, supporting Plymouth's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and HRIS.
  • Support the Benefits & HRIS Administrator with health and welfare plan administration, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of HRIS data, including processing new hires, status changes, and separations.
  • Create and maintain employee files and records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and organizational policies.
  • Assist with annual open enrollment and other cyclical HR events.
  • Provide administrative support to HR leadership, including organizing agency-related events and meetings.
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects and serve as a backup to the Benefits & HRIS Administrator.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, business management, or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruitment coordination or HR support roles.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS (preferably ADP).
  • Familiarity with labor law, employment equity regulations, and benefits administration.
