Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Patient Service Representative to join our team at True Health. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience from check-in to check-out.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Manage patient flow, ensuring timely and efficient processing of patients through the center
  • Update patient demographics and eligibility information
  • Verify insurance and set eligibility dates in our system
  • Collect payments and patient-responsible balances
  • Post charges to patient accounts
  • Scan and import demographic and clinical documentation into patient charts
  • Schedule appointments as needed
  • Monitor patient schedule to accommodate walk-in patients
  • Direct patients to the proper department for assistance
  • Answer multi-line telephone system
  • Operate office equipment, including fax, copier, computer, and credit card machine
  • Provide copies of patient medical records as requested
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Customer-friendly attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes
  • Money and balancing skills
  • Ability to function effectively under stress
  • Good evaluative judgment
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to perform accurate data entry
  • Ability to work well with people
  • Ability to multi-task
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish/Creole) a plus
  • One year experience preferred
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires the ability to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time. You will also be required to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions, handle and/or feel objects, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
