The Maintenance Operations team, part of the Facilities Operations and Maintenance Division, delivers extensive maintenance services to support the university's mission. We provide opportunities for ongoing education, various stipends for additional certifications, and foster a culture of ownership and pride in our work.
Your Contribution:
Your role will play a vital part in achieving operational excellence and improving the student experience at a globally recognized institution for its academic programs and research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and functionality of fire alarm systems across campus facilities.
- Deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of materials utilized and ensure proper documentation of all systems.
- Assist with outages and support emergency personnel.
- Stay informed on code updates and product knowledge.
- Help organize and maintain cleanliness in work areas.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet departmental objectives.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED, with a minimum of three years of experience in fire alarm system maintenance, along with strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate Degree in a relevant field, over three years of maintenance experience, NICET Level I certification, and completion of a leadership development program.
Compensation:
Salary starting at $39,529, commensurate with qualifications.
Working Environment:
Environmental Conditions:
- Uniforms and/or personal protective equipment provided.
- Work in varying weather conditions and around chemicals.
Physical Requirements:
- Repetitive use of a keyboard.
- Manual dexterity and lifting capabilities required.
Additional Working Conditions:
- Essential personnel during emergencies.
- Utilize electronic devices for work management.
- May be required to work extended hours and be exposed to allergens.
Work Schedule:
- 40 hours per week, with a schedule to be determined with the supervisor.
- Overtime, evening, weekend, and holiday work may be necessary.
