The Medical College of Wisconsin's Division of Hematology and Oncology within the Department of Medicine is actively seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Oncologist with a focused interest in gastrointestinal malignancies. The rank for this position is flexible.

Position Highlights

  • Become part of a distinguished group of six GI medical oncologists, representing the largest GI medical oncology program and the sole academic cancer research center in southeastern Wisconsin, enabling oncologists to specialize in Gastrointestinal Cancers.
  • Benefit from dedicated ambulatory support from Advanced Practice Providers (APP) and assistance from medical fellows.
  • Engage in a comprehensive and diverse array of clinical trials in the field of GI Oncology.
  • Access to a dedicated oncologic hospitalist program that provides daily inpatient rounding, thereby minimizing inpatient responsibilities for GI medical oncologists.

The Division & Cancer Center

The Division of Hematology and Oncology comprises 70 faculty members, 14 fellows, and over 80 advanced practice providers. It features a dedicated inpatient and outpatient care facility, an integrated Palliative Care program, and strong clinical and research collaborations with Surgical and Radiation Oncology, the Blood Center of Wisconsin, and the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Registry (CIBMTR). This Division is an active participant in ECOG-ACRIN.
