About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team at Louisiana Cat. As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful assembly and installation of mechanical systems, equipment, and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install mechanical systems, equipment, and components to meet customer requirements
  • Assist in wiring electrical controls to meet customer specifications
  • Inspect completed power system and controls installations to ensure conformance to design, equipment specifications, and operational and safety standards
  • Determine the nature and extent of issues and recommend remedial measures
  • Utilize corporate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to enter time and project notes
  • Follow and enforce all safety rules and procedures, identifying and reporting all safety issues
  • Complete training requirements identified by Caterpillar to earn and maintain job-specific training certifications as required
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-year degree or equivalent electrical experience preferred
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have own hand tools
  • Mechanically inclined with some packaging assembly experience a plus
