Oil States International Tool Maintenance Technician Specialist

At Oil States International, we are currently hiring for a Tool Maintenance Technician Specialist to join our team in New Iberia, LA. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to work with our team and contribute to the success of our organization.
The Tool Maintenance Technician Specialist will provide labor and skilled support for assigned product lines, performing routine maintenance on tools and supporting equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills, with the ability to read and speak English.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Abiding by all Oil States International, LLC Safety and Operational Policies and Procedures.
- Performing routine maintenance on tools and supporting equipment.
- Inspecting and maintaining equipment, checking operating conditions, and logging repair needs.
- May perform maintenance jobs as required, as well as preventative maintenance.
- May provide assistance to assigned mechanic as needed.
- Rebuilding broken equipment and replacing parts in accordance with specifications.
- Assembling and disassembling universal tools.
- Maintaining required and related records as necessary.
- Tracking and recording equipment test results.
- Completing work orders, listing materials issued and used, and submitting paperwork with appropriate personnel.
- May perform basic inventory and basic preparation of tools and equipment.
- Replacing expendable parts, gaskets, seals, lines, fittings, etc.
In addition to these key responsibilities, the Tool Maintenance Technician Specialist may also be required to:
- Deliver and pick up equipment from vendors or job sites.
- Test or refit equipment off the shelf.
- Pressure wash equipment with a high temperature/high pressure washer.
- Paint (or remove paint from) equipment within the confines of a paint booth equipped with an exhaust fan and respirator.
- Maintain the paint booth.
- Load and unload freight.
- May assist on well site locations as needed/required.
- Pressure test equipment in a controlled environment from behind a blast wall; subsequently completing documentation of pressure test or certification of equipment.
- Operate heavy equipment, including a forklift, overhead crane, and break-out vise.
- Operate powered and standard hand tools (grinding equipment, buffing threads, etc.).
- Recognize problems while cleaning and dressing tools and report to supervisor for corrective action.
- Keep the shop and equipment clean and organized by performing basic housekeeping and maintenance duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
