Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Animal Control Warden. As a key member of our public safety team, you will be responsible for enforcing animal control laws and regulations, providing education and outreach to the community, and ensuring the humane treatment of animals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate animal bites and other incidents related to animal control
  • Issue citations and appear in court as necessary
  • Assist with animal euthanasia and provide care for animals in our shelter
  • Pick up stray animals and investigate reports of animal cruelty
  • Provide education and outreach to the community on animal control laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and other agencies to ensure public safety
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in a related field preferred
  • Three years of experience in animal control or a related field; certification in animal control and euthanasia required
  • Ability to lift 100 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
