Radiologic Imaging Technologist - Contract Position

The Sigma Healthcare Team is seeking a skilled Radiologic Imaging Technologist to join our dedicated team. This role involves working onsite at our partnered facility.

EMR System: CPSI/Evident
Schedule: Monday to Friday, flexible hours, no weekends

Overview:
  • The Imaging Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic x-ray images as requested by physicians while adhering to all safety and operational standards. Successful performance in this role requires meeting the responsibilities outlined below.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate high-resolution x-ray images of designated body areas as instructed by medical professionals.
  • Implement appropriate radiation safety measures.
  • Collaborate with hospital or clinic EMR systems to manage and fulfill exam requests.
  • Work effectively with various departments to enhance patient and staff experiences.
  • Conduct, document, and evaluate quality control data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient workspace by performing equipment checks and adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Exhibit regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Stay current with clinical competencies and professional knowledge through ongoing education and training.
  • Assist in patient transport as needed.
  • Familiarity with PACS systems for image management.
  • Perform portable x-ray procedures as required by emergency services.
  • Propose process enhancements for operational efficiency.
  • Embody and promote the values of the organization.
  • Notify relevant personnel regarding supply needs to ensure continuous operations.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Completion of a JRCERT accredited radiological training program or equivalent.
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Valid Iowa Radiologic Technologist Permit to Practice.
  • BLS certification.
  • Accreditations in Mammography, CT, MRI, and DEXA for relevant technologists.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
