About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Curriculum Coordinator to join our team at the University of Virginia. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to medical education courses, participate in the planning and implementation of programs, and ensure compliance with relevant national organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and disseminate course materials
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings
  • Create daily/weekly schedules for faculty and students
  • Purchase and reconcile expenses
  • Interact with students and faculty
  • Ensure compliance with relevant national organizations
  • Provide quality administrative support to faculty while maintaining high standards of the curriculum
  • Recruit faculty from across SOM to participate in curricular activities
  • Recruit patients to participate in curricular activities
  • Provide on-site day-of support to courses
  • Enter accurate data and materials in VMED and OASIS
About the Curriculum

Our innovative Cells to Society curriculum provides a comprehensive approach that integrates medical science and practice to teach foundational science in the context of how it is used by physicians in their clinical practice. The curriculum emphasizes collaborative team and individual learning, student-faculty interactions, clinical skills education and clinical problem-solving, hands-on laboratories, hospital and community-based patient care, and opportunities to individualize learning.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Two years of administrative support experience. Bachelor's degree may substitute for experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience working in higher education, an academic health care institution, and/or supporting medical education programs/curriculum.
  • Proficiency in VMED, OASIS, Zoom, and M365 Suite.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Physical Demands

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.

Compensation

The anticipated hiring range is $20 - $23/hour commensurate with education and experience. This is a non-exempt level, full-time, benefited position.
