Weekender Flex RN Job Description

Cleveland Clinic's Hillcrest Hospital is seeking a skilled Weekender Flex RN to join our team. As a member of our Progressive Care Unit (PCU), you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Job Summary

This Weekender Flex RN position requires working two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week. You will be part of our innovative Weekender Flex Program, which offers a unique schedule that allows for personal time during the week and full-time status with benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the PCU
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans
  • Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs
  • Educate patients and their families
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • One year of current acute care RN experience (will consider military RN experience)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Physical Requirements

This role requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. You will also need to stand and walk for extended periods, have corrected vision and hearing, and work under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
