Weekender Flex RN Job Description

Cleveland Clinic's Hillcrest Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Weekender Flex RN. This unique opportunity allows you to work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week, while enjoying full-time status and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans
  • Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs
  • Educate patients and their families
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • One year of current acute care RN experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Work Environment:

This role requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours, with exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. The physical demands of this position are medium, requiring exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
