Job Summary

The ideal candidate will work on power distribution projects, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and designers to deliver cost-effective and high-quality infrastructure solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering design principles, survey methods, and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with project managers to review engineering design packages, including drawings, BOM, and procedures.
  • Perform basic to intermediate engineering designs, utilizing Autodesk AutoCAD and other relevant software.
  • Conduct surveys and document existing utility field conditions, utilizing GPS and conventional survey methods.
  • Contribute to and implement design modifications to improve project quality and process improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, working in a team-oriented environment.
Requirements
  • Associates degree preferred, or equivalent related experience with design.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, with at least 1+ year of work experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to change.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, around energized equipment, and in confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Power distribution knowledge and experience with Civil 3D.
  • Familiarity with electrical standards, including National Electric Code (NEC) and National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
  • Knowledge of Katapult or Ike equipment and distribution equipment and hardware.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment, with some fieldwork required. The physical demands of the job include standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to travel locally up to 100% of the time, including temporary on-site assignments.
