Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at HealthEcareers - Client. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Quality Nursing Care: Provide patient-centered care by following physician orders, state and federal regulations, and our facility's policies and procedures.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as ordered by the physician and in accordance with our facility's policies.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Lead, guide, and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Collaboration with Physicians: Assist physicians with rounds as needed and provide support during physical examinations and treatments.
  • Treatment and Documentation: Perform scheduled treatments and document patient care appropriately, maintaining infection control measures as necessary.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all regulations related to cleanliness, infection control, and Standard/Universal Precautions.
  • Quality Improvement: Assist with research related to the quality of nursing care, as assigned.
  • Record Keeping and Scheduling: Assist with records, orders, and assessment of new admissions, as well as scheduling patients' annual physicals with attending physicians.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Registered Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing, with a current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Certifications and Training: CPR certified yearly, with the ability to attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Ability to supervise nursing assistants, assure work assignments are completed appropriately and timely, and demonstrate dependability, flexibility, and the ability to work well with all nursing personnel and other departments.
  • Decision-Making and Problem-Solving: Ability to make decisions regarding nursing problems, recognizing the potential consequences of errors and incompetence for patients.
