Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services. As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our patients, following physician's orders and adhering to state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Quality Nursing Care: Administer medications, lead and guide nursing assistants, and supervise orderlies to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  • Collaborate with Physicians: Assist with rounds, physical examinations, and treatments as needed, and drapes and cares for patients during MD rounds.
  • Document Patient Information: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including infection control measures and treatment schedules.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement: Assist with research related to nursing care quality and adhere to all regulations pertaining to cleanliness and infection control.
  • Support Patient Care: Assist with records, orders, and assessment of new admissions, and ensure timely completion of physicals and documentation.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Registered Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing, and current, valid license from North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Certifications and Training: CPR certified yearly and ability to attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to supervise nursing assistants, make decisions regarding nursing problems, and work well with patients, families, doctors, and other departments.
