Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) guarantees and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care and oversees all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.

In collaboration with other management team members, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.

Oncology nurses are specialists in providing compassionate care and support to patients diagnosed with cancer. They monitor patients post-surgery, administer chemotherapy, and assist patients in accessing necessary resources to ease their journey.

About this unit:

- Monday-Friday schedule with opportunities for cross-training among departments/specialties.
- Patient population often consists of recurring cases, allowing us to build lasting relationships with them and their families.
- Strong leadership and support.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other management team members.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Uphold a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support facility efforts to enhance engagement by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.


Qualifications:


- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- ONS Chemotherapy Provider certification.
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Registered Nurse Diploma.
