Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for processing medically relevant biological samples through extraction or high-throughput DNA sequencing assays.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform DNA extractions, PCR amplification, or high-throughput sequencing assays on DNA libraries.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, such as GxP, FDA, and ISO.
  • Keep accurate and detailed records for all workflows following Good Documentation Practices.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including liquid handling robotics and DNA sequencers.
  • Enter and track data in a laboratory information database.
  • Exhibit clear and effective communication to facilitate effective handoff procedures.
  • Record nonconformances for all appropriate errors.
  • Lead by example and model appropriate cultural and professional behavior.
  • Provide coverage for staff absences in collaboration with supervisory staff and team leads.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in life sciences, with at least one year of experience working in a high-complexity clinical molecular laboratory.
  • Molecular biology skills, including DNA extraction, purification, PCR, qPCR, and next-generation DNA sequencing.
  • Competent with laboratory automation and demonstrated laboratory best practices.
  • Experience working with human blood, tissues, and/or cells, as well as proper handling of biohazardous material.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and disciplines.

We offer a competitive pay rate, with CLT 1 earning $27-40/hour + shift differential and CLT 2 earning $30-45/hour + shift differential. The schedule is Tuesday-Saturday, 6am-2:30pm or 2:30pm-11pm, or Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, 12:30pm-11pm. The workplace is onsite in Seattle.
