Job Summary

MedStar Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Educator II to join our team. As a Clinical Educator II, you will work collaboratively with subject matter experts to create, evaluate, and maintain engaging and meaningful education. Your goal will be to promote patient safety, improve clinical outcomes, and create positive patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the achievement of established department goals and objectives, adhering to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Encourage a MedStar Health system-wide approach to learning activities.
  • Identify and promote interprofessional learning opportunities.
  • Collaborate on the discovery process for requested learning activities, including early identification of outcome measurement opportunities.
  • Collaboratively recommend possible innovative learning approaches to meet an identified need.
  • Collaborate on the acquisition of Interprofessional Professional Continuing Education (IPCE) credits, as needed.
  • Stay apprised of meaningful approaches to educational practices for healthcare associates.
  • Collaborate effectively with a team on the development, implementation, and evaluation of learning programs that promote patient safety, improved clinical outcomes, and positive patient experiences.
  • Serve as a resource/support for debriefing efforts.
  • Serve as project lead for identified programs.
  • Evaluate and modify designated learning programs to promote high-quality offerings.
  • Support evaluation and research endeavors.
  • Participate in faculty development efforts.
  • Identify and participate in professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field plus more than 10 years of relevant job experience preferred or
  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field required and
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of clinical experience that includes developing and implementing clinical training and education required
  • Clinical licensure required
  • CHSE - Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator Attain Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) certification when eligible required

Compensation

This position has a hiring range of $70,428 - $124,467
