We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement (CI) Design Engineer to join our team at Heatec, Inc. Key Responsibilities- Lead quality improvement projects using the D8 process to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction
- Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives to increase equipment value for our customers
- Design and engineer product improvements to meet customer needs and industry standards
- Collaborate with the Service team to resolve technical issues and provide product support
- Work with procurement to resolve supply chain issues and improve product delivery
- Conduct safety evaluations and implement improvements to the product line
- Develop and maintain thorough engineering specifications and drawings
- Manage engineering changes according to established company procedures
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering
- Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for heavy construction equipment
- Experience working with engineering-type software programs such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or any 3-D solid modeling engineering software
- Proficiency with personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite software applications
- Knowledge and experience using finite element analysis (FEA) for mechanical and structural components
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Minimum 3 years' experience in equipment design and manufacturing (mechanical, structural, hydraulic, and electrical/control system design)
