About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement (CI) Design Engineer to join our team at Heatec, Inc. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to drive innovation and improvement in our crushing equipment for the aggregate industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead quality improvement projects using the D8 process to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction
  • Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives to increase equipment value for our customers
  • Design and engineer product improvements to meet customer needs and industry standards
  • Collaborate with the Service team to resolve technical issues and provide product support
  • Work with procurement to resolve supply chain issues and improve product delivery
  • Conduct safety evaluations and implement improvements to the product line
  • Develop and maintain thorough engineering specifications and drawings
  • Manage engineering changes according to established company procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering
  • Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for heavy construction equipment
  • Experience working with engineering-type software programs such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or any 3-D solid modeling engineering software
  • Proficiency with personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite software applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience using finite element analysis (FEA) for mechanical and structural components
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in equipment design and manufacturing (mechanical, structural, hydraulic, and electrical/control system design)
