Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Innovative Air, Inc. in Eugene, Oregon.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and industrial projects.
  • Conduct load calculations, equipment selection, and system layout and sizing using computerized design tools.
  • Prepare construction documents through various phases of design, including conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction.
  • Provide guidance to designers and drafting personnel.
  • Specification writing utilizing third-party data-based programs.
  • Prepare project proposals and scope of work documents.
  • Interface with clients, architects, and other design disciplines and trades via in-person or remote meetings.
  • Conduct on-site investigations and construction site visits as required.
  • Address jurisdiction design review comments to procure building permits.
  • Review equipment submittals for contractor installation.
  • Construction administration, including preparing supplemental instructions and responding to requests for information.
Requirements
  • Active Professional Engineering (PE) license or EIT license required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 5-8 years of commercial, industrial, residential, and related engineering design and construction administration experience.
  • Understanding of and proficiency in adopted Building Codes for construction-related design.
  • Working knowledge of electronic mechanical design tool programs, including Revit and AutoCad.
  • Knowledge to prepare design documents or markups for designer/drafting personnel.

Compensation

$90,000-$120,000/annual - DOE.
