Job Summary

The Transportation Designer 1 is a key member of our team, responsible for performing entry-level engineering calculations, design, and drafting for various transportation projects. This role involves assisting with site visits, CAD drafting, geometric roadway layout and design, 3D modeling, writing project specifications and technical reports, calculating construction quantities, and estimating construction costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with site visits and conduct field observations
  • Perform CAD drafting and design tasks using industry-standard software
  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed project records
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and designers to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field
  • Basic proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
