Senior Level Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Level Designer to join our team at Zynga. As a key member of our game development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing immersive game environments that bring our games to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and prototype 3D game environments that define the flow of player movement and pace of combat.
  • Craft levels to create visually appealing and intriguing spaces to move through, which pay off narrative and gameplay.
  • Implement game content such as event triggers, combat encounters, and objects to efficiently leverage the gameplay space.
  • Follow level design standards for great gameplay in a 3rd person action game.
  • Work in Unreal as well as with in-house custom tools to implement levels.
  • Collaborate with Design, Narrative, and Art teams to create experiences that support the gameplay and aesthetic needs of the project.
  • Collaborate with Directors and Leads to establish a high-level creative vision and bring it to life.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of industry experience in a Level Design role.
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience building 3rd person action games.
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine.
  • Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and a great team-player attitude.
  • Strong understanding of how to design and compartmentalize levels that have digestible composition and flow.
