Internship Role: Mechanical Engineering Internship

Location: Various locations

Internship Details: Summer opportunity

Job Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineering intern, you will engage in various phases of project development, including analysis, design, installation, and initiation. This internship provides a unique opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a practical setting, collaborating with project teams on planning, documentation, and execution of ongoing projects. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering practices essential for supporting high-speed automated manufacturing processes. Opportunities are available in research, manufacturing, and across different business sectors.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Producing detailed designs and development assignments.
  • Enhancing knowledge and skills related to engineering details.
  • Ensuring safety and security in all job responsibilities.
  • Assisting in developing solutions and alternatives for assigned challenges.
  • Fostering a respectful and collaborative team environment.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • General machine design principles.
  • Problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ability to assimilate and comprehend technical information.
  • Proficiency in drafting and design.
  • Familiarity with engineering work systems, including CAD.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Understanding of basic statistics and computer usage.

Qualifications

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 and completion of at least 1.5 years of college coursework.
  • Unofficial transcripts required for interviews.
  • Previous co-op experience is advantageous.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
  • Co-op/intern positions are not eligible for sponsorship.
