Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Science Intern to join our team at Colliers Engineering & Design. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting technical staff on day-to-day projects, reading and reviewing project drawings and plans, and operating handheld GPS units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist technical staff on day-to-day projects, including data collection and analysis.
  • Read and review project drawings and plans to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Operate handheld GPS units to collect and record data.
  • Identify and measure components of various ecological communities, including plants, animals, and their habitats.
  • Confer with engineers and other technical staff to prepare plans and reports.
  • Travel to project sites, including out-of-town locations, for up to two weeks at a time.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
  • ESRI GIS application knowledge is a plus.
  • Must have reliable transportation to the office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer literacy, including MS Office.
