Job Summary

This position is part of the Facilities Management department at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado. The successful candidate will have experience in HVAC maintenance, repair, or installation, with a preference for experience in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections, diagnosing and repairing issues to ensure efficient and effective system operation
  • Work with a variety of systems and equipment, including boilers, chillers, air handlers, and control systems
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
  • Collaborate with other facilities staff to ensure seamless operation of building systems
Requirements
  • Experience as an HVAC technician
  • Demonstrated abilities in the area applied for
  • A valid driver's license may be required for this position
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by following established safety procedures and protocols
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions
Physical Demands
  • Bending, lifting, stooping, crawling, laying, sitting, walking, climbing
  • Use of hand and power tools, proper use of hearing and eye protection
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures in nature, work in noisy or constricted spaces, exposure to odors and smells
