Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Ascension Genesys. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiographic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic radiographs and images
  • Deliver quality patient care, adhering to universal precautions, sterile technique, and maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Produce quality radiographs by selecting appropriate technical factors, positioning patients, and manipulating equipment components
  • Represent the hospital in a positive manner, promoting the image of the Radiology department and Genesys Regional Medical Center
  • Identify finished radiographs with patient information and enter procedures into the hospital management information system
  • Stay current on new developments, trends, equipment, and procedures through technical journals, educational programs, and seminars
  • Assist in the instruction and training of radiology students and new employees
  • Act as a technical resource for radiology residents and radiologists
  • Report equipment malfunctions to management or service representatives
  • Keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly
  • Assist with clerical duties and patient transportation as needed
Requirements
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire date
  • Or be certified by the American Registry of Clinical Radiography Technologists (ARCRT)
  • Equivalent of a high school diploma and completion of an accredited 2-year radiology program
