About the Role

JK Executive Strategies, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Counselor to join our team. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for providing clinical assessments, individual and group counseling, and support services to a diverse range of clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to children, adults, and families, addressing a range of mental health challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Director to develop and facilitate support groups and psychoeducational offerings.
  • Participate in community outreach efforts to promote the counseling services and establish relationships with referral sources.
  • Attend supervision, team meetings, staff meetings, and staff development activities to ensure ongoing professional growth and development.
  • Function as part of the team to meet the needs of clients and the agency, including facilitating referrals to programs.
  • Be available to work some night/weekend hours as needed to meet the demands of the caseload.
  • Provide counseling services in the most appropriate setting to meet the client's needs, including office, home, or telehealth settings.
  • May include on-site work with strategic partners, such as schools and childcare centers, to provide school-based mental health counseling and classroom observation.
  • May include professional development to strategic partners regarding best practices and strategies for behavioral health needs of youth and older adults.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in providing clinical counseling to individuals and/or groups.
  • Must be eligible for advanced NYS Licensure and Insurance Paneling.
  • New York State licensure as LCSW, LCSW-R LMHC, or LCAT.
  • Provisional or interim licensure requirements must be completed in a reasonable time frame as agreed upon with the supervisor.
  • Experience or training in cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and reflective practice.
  • NYS Driver's License.

Compensation

  • $26.66/hr. - $28.71/hr.
