Certified Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Certified Phlebotomist to join our team at Galen Medical Group. As a key member of our clinical laboratory, you will be responsible for performing venipuncture, skin punctures, and other ancillary testing with precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Perform blood draws competently and expediently with minimal patient discomfort.
- Record phlebotomy requisitions and label and record all test tubes.
- Identify patients by comparing patient information to verbal information before venipuncture.
- Follow universal precautions and maintain quality results by following department procedures.
- Resolve unusual test orders by contacting the ordering provider or nurse.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Certified Phlebotomist from a nationally accredited institution.
- BLS trained and certified at all times.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Exceptional skills of independence, organization, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, professional interaction, and human relation skills.
