As a Laboratory Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for the collection of patient specimens for laboratory testing.

This involves following proper guidelines for safe handling of blood, body fluids, and hazardous chemicals, properly recording lab testing, quality control, and assurance, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels of reagents and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform clean venipunctures and capillary collections
  • Follow proper guidelines for safe handling of blood, body fluids, and hazardous chemicals
  • Maintain knowledge of procedures and practices
  • Participate in ongoing quality assurance activities and document breaches of quality
  • Manage inventory levels of reagents and supplies

Requirements:

  • Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant with 2 years of clinical lab experience preferred
  • One year phlebotomy experience preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification is preferred but not required
  • High school diploma required
