Role Responsibilities:

The Science Instructor plays a pivotal role in promoting scientific literacy. To be effective, educators must possess a deep understanding of their subject matter, stay updated on technological advancements, and engage students by connecting scientific concepts to their everyday lives.

Qualifications:

  • Strong commitment to providing quality education for New Orleans children.
  • Alignment with the mission and values of Community Academies of New Orleans.
  • Bachelor's degree (required); Master's degree (preferred).
  • Two or more years of teaching experience in Science (preferred).
  • Louisiana State Certification (preferred).
  • Proficient classroom management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Willingness to engage in professional development and best practices.
