Position Overview

Ecole Bilingue De La Nouvelle-Orléans, a distinguished institution established in 1998, offers a nurturing and linguistically enriched atmosphere for students. As Louisiana's premier private French school accredited by both the French government and the State of Louisiana, we provide a multilingual educational experience for children from 18 months to the 8th grade. Our mission is to deliver a robust and unique bilingual education by merging the finest elements of French and American academic standards.

Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, full-time Mathematics Educator for our English language track. The selected candidate will collaborate with the French lead teacher to design and implement an engaging and innovative curriculum tailored for middle school students.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of full-time teaching experience, preferably in a lead role within a language immersion environment.

Responsibilities

The Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students through various instructional methods.
  • Supporting the educational and social growth of students.
  • Creating a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Conducting parent-teacher conferences and providing necessary documentation.
  • Participating in school fundraising initiatives.
  • Maintaining organized student records and a conducive learning space.
  • Completing assigned school duties.
