Front Desk Representative Job Description

Gastro Health is seeking a highly skilled and organized Front Desk Representative to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Greeting and Registration: Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression of our practice.
  • Practice Management System: Utilize our electronic health record system to create and manage patient records, scan medical documents, and maintain accurate insurance information.
  • Registration and Verification: Verify patient registration forms, obtain referring physician and primary physician information, and ensure patients have current referrals prior to office visits.
  • Insurance and Billing: Verify insurance benefits and eligibility, collect co-payments and outstanding balances, and post payments collected.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to our healthcare professionals, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing the front desk area.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a medical office or similar setting preferred.
  • Language: Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Software: eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience desired.
