Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front Desk Representative to join our team. As a Front Desk Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, managing front desk operations, and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greets patients in a pleasant and timely manner
  • Utilizes practice management system to create provider records, scan medical records & documents, and maintain insurance information
  • Verifies registration forms are complete and obtains referring physician & primary physician information
  • Ensures patient has current referral on date of service and obtains referral if necessary
  • Verifies insurance benefits and eligibility prior to office visits & procedures
  • Collects all applicable co-payment, coinsurance, deductible or outstanding balance from the patient and posts all payments collected
  • Ensures time-of-service batch is balanced and closed daily
  • Researches and assists patients with questions regarding balances, including collecting applicable payments
  • Maintains cleanliness and neatness of lobby/reception area, including stocking of business cards
  • Provides support for the physician and/or care center providers, ensuring they are kept on schedule and advised of appointment changes
  • Performs various duties, including answering incoming calls and routing them to appropriate personnel, taking complete messages, and sending tasks as necessary
  • Schedules, confirms, and cancels office appointments
  • Picks up voicemail messages
  • Reschedules no-show appointments and maintains coverage to reflect correct information for the day
  • Supports the care center in areas, including assisting with record requests, managing the fax inbox, and scanning records
Requirements:
  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years experience in medical practice or similar setting
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience desired
