Job Title: Senior Academic HR Coordinator

Join the University of Texas at Austin team as a Senior Academic HR Coordinator, supporting the Academic Personnel Services (APS) team in the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost. This role is responsible for managing key academic processes, providing consultative support, and ensuring compliance with university and state policies.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to inquiries and requests related to academic matters, such as faculty hiring, leaves, and separations, within ServiceNow's ticketing platform.
  • Review faculty job postings to ensure compliance with university and state policy.
  • Audit and review faculty Prior Approval Request (PAR) documents to ensure compliance with all rules, regulations, standards, and business procedures.
  • Review and approve business processes in Workday to ensure compliance with Regents Rules, university policy, and EVPP business procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and three years of increasingly responsible experience working with human resource functions in a university environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively on a team and with individuals at all levels and backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under stress to meet all deadlines and assignments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and five or more years of experience working with academic human resource functions within The University of Texas System.
  • Experience working with faculty and administrative and professional positions and policies administered by a university.
Salary Range:

$62,000 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions:
  • May work around standard office conditions.
  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
