Quality Assurance Specialist

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Technician will:
- Maintain our high-quality standards and surpass customer expectations by utilizing your analytical expertise to assess raw materials and evaluate in-process and finished products against established specifications.
- Alert operations to any non-conforming materials or product outcomes and assist in troubleshooting and identifying effective solutions.
- Collaborate with Research & Development, process development, and operations during plant trials and various projects.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records and databases, including production inventory systems, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will apply fundamental quality techniques to address issues, implement solutions, and foster ongoing quality enhancements. Your qualifications should ideally include:
- An associate degree in chemistry or a related discipline with five or more years of practical laboratory experience, or a bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related scientific field.
- Experience in problem-solving, root cause analysis, or the Six Sigma methodology.
- Strong attention to detail, effective time management skills, and a basic understanding of statistical methods.
- Ability to access relevant areas of manufacturing operations.
- Willingness to work a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
