Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team at the YMCA of Columbia Willamette. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with school age children and making a positive impact in their lives.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

The Lead Teacher will be responsible for maintaining a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom environment, implementing a fun and engaging curriculum, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and the school community.

Requirements
  • Pass a YMCA Background Check
  • At least 240 hours of qualifying experience working with school age children in the past five years, an Associates or higher degree in a related field, or a Step 6 on the Oregon Registry
  • Meet all Program Leader standards as dictated by the state Child Care Division
  • Current enrollment in the Oregon State Childcare Registry or ability to enroll prior to employment
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Current Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • At least 18 years of age
